Being prepared is a tool of successful individual. We want all Hammond Junior High Magnet School students to achieve success both inside and outside of the school. This common supply list represents the essential supplies that a middle school student will need. Throughout the year, additional materials may be needed to accommodate special learning experiences.
Throughout the school year, your child may need more of a particular item. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for helping to prepare your Hammond Junior High Magnet School child for an exciting year.

General Supply list for HAMMOND JUNIOR HIGH MAGNET SCHOOL students:
· 6 1”binder
(2- 1” binder (red) 8th grade only)
· (6) packs of loose leaf paper
· Pencils and pens
· (8) 3-prong pocket folders
· (8) Mead Composition notebook
· (8) Index cards
· 1 pair of Ear buds
· Markers/Crayons/Colored pencils
· A novel for sustained silent reading

· $20.00 (cash only) Physical education Uniform(must be purchased by September 3rd)
This fee includes a white HJHMS uniform shirt and purple HJHMS uniform shorts
Must purchase by September 3rd, before being penalized for grading

· $20.00(Cash only) school fee, which includes $5.00 fee required school Identification card

Students will not be allowed to participate in school field trips, extracurricular activities without fees being paid

Helpful items to have available at home include:
Stapler
Tape
Glue
Scissors
Dictionary
Thesaurus

Additional items may be requested by individual teachers.
Examples may include but not limited to:
Graphing paper, Highlighters, Kleenex, Paper towels, Quart size bags, Gallon size bags, Notebook dividers

Teachers will inform students of other subject specific supplies the first week of school
