The “No Child Left Behind Act of 2001” requires Title I schools to give timely information on the professional qualifications of their children’s classroom teachers and paraprofessionals, if requested by the parent(s). Additionally, schools must provide to parents timely notice that the parent’s child has been assigned or taught for 4 or more consecutive weeks by a teacher who is not “Highly Qualified”.
