It is with
much excitement and eagerness that we
welcome you to the TangiTech Institute, a
professional development project
illustrating the integration of technology
in the student-centered classroom. The
process leading to this point has been
filled with hard work and a healthy mix of
learning, sharing, and growing for all of us
in the Instructional Technology Department.
TangiTech is an intensive, content-rich,
27-hour professional development program.
Through TangiTech you will experience many
examples of effective technology-based
strategies that support and enhance
curriculum and that can provide a catalyst
for fundamental change in overall teaching
and learning processes. As a TangiTech
participant you will learn basic technology
skills while focusing on project-based
activities that are based upon the Louisiana
Content Standards.
We hope that your experiences in this
project will be productive and pleasant. We
expect that through the various sessions you
will learn new skills and concepts, meet new
people as well as forge strong professional
relationships, and that you will build
products and experiences that will serve
those in your school in the coming years.
