    Cory Guthrie Memorial Scholarship

    This is a one time scholarship in the amount of $1000
    to a graduate of either Jewel M. Sumner High School,
    or Loranger High School.

    Scholarship Criteria:

    This scholarship is not based on grades alone,
    but rather your life is circumscribed by similar standards,
    that you believe in God, that you are a student in good
    standing with the school and faculty of your school,
    and that you are a legal citizen of The United States.

    **Applicants or their parents must be members
    of the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation
    **2.5 GPA or better
    **Applicant must be graduating from high
    school in the spring of 2017
    **Applicants must attend an accredited college
    or university in Louisiana during the fall
    and spring semesters immediately following
    graduation from high school
    **Applicants must pursue a curriculum in agriculture,
    vocational agriculture, agribusiness, agriscience
    or other curriculum directly benefiting
    the agricultural sector of Louisiana economy.

    LSU would like to invite college-bound, 
    minority seniors to appy to the
    LSU Summer Scholars Program, 
    this is an 8 week summer program that
    prepares high achieving under-represented
    minority students to make a successful 
    transition from high school to college.
    The program is open to 2017 high school graduates.
