Senior Opportunity

Louisiana College Goal Sunday will be held February 21, 2010, from 2-4 p.m.
This program assists students and parents with completing the FAFSA.
It is a FREE event. This is open to ALL college-bound students regardless of age.
Students and parent should bring completed IRS 1040 tax forms, W - 2 forms,
and other income asset information. There are several sites available for this
program, but the closest site to Sumner High School is
Southeastern Louisiana University.

December Tasks for Seniors

• Sign up for a PIN to complete your FAFSA online. Also, let your parents know that they will need a PIN. www.pin.ed.gov

• Once you get your PIN numbers, put them in a safe place so that you can access when needed.

• Finalize admission applications.

• Urge your parents to file their taxes ASAP after January 1st. This will ease the financial aid process.

• Watch for early admission notices. (They tend to arrive in December or January.)
