The Beta Club is still collecting unwanted Mardi Gras beads.

 The SADD Club is proud to present the "Power of Friendship Week."
Please be sure to check out the SADD bulletin board and poems posted in the hallway.
 In addition to this, there is a mandatory meeting for SADD at 12:00 noon in Ms. Piner's room.

offers Pre-College Summer Programs

****REHAMS-one week residential program (June 13-19) offering academically
talented minority students the opportunity to examine first hand the activities and
thought processes characteristic of engineering. Must be entering 10th or 11th
grade for the 2010-2011 school year.

****XCITE-a one week residential program (July 11-17) designed to introduce
promising female high school students to LSU and the field of engineering.
Students must be entering 9th grade or 10th grade for the 2010-2011 school year.

New York and Washington DC

Anyone wanting to sign up for the New York
and Washington DC trips need to do so
February 28th in order to save $75 on their enrollment fee.

All schools will be open Monday, April 5, 2010 (the Monday after Easter)
to make up the time lost Friday, January 8, 2010.

Fifteen minutes will be added to the instructional day beginning Monday, January 25, 2010, and
ending Friday, April 9, 2010, to make up the time lost Monday and Tuesday, January 11 and 12, 2010.

Washington - St. Tammany

Washington-St. Tammany Electric Cooperative, as part of our ongoing
commitment to education, is pleased to announce the 2010 Youth Tour Contest.
WST Electric will underwrite an all expense paid trip to Washington D.C. as
well as a trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the Youth Leadership Conference,
for two local students. The contest is open to children ages 16-18
of WST Electric members.

Must have a 3.0 GPA - $500 fee
There are a limited number of full and partial scholarships available.
Receive a total of six college credits.

 AYN RAND Essay Contest

Contains over $80,000 in prize money available.
This contest is open to 9-12 graders.
