Any girl wishing to try out for the Sumner Softball Team has to have a valid and current
physical completed and turned in to Coach Schneeweiss before Friday, December 4, 2009.
You may get a physical form from Ms. Booty in the gym. A mandatory team meeting will be
held on Thursday, December 10. 2009, at 6:30 p.m. in the lunch room, where you and a parent
must be present to complete all required LHSSA forms. If you miss this meeting on
Thursday, December 10, 2009, you will not try out for the softball team on
Tuesday, January 5, 2009, and Wednesday, January 6, 2009.

Congratulations to both the girls and boys basketball teams
on their victory last night in our home game opener. Thanks
to all the faculty, staff, and students, that came out to support them.
The boys and girls will be playing at the Mt. Hermon Tournament Wednesday-Saturday, November 18-24.
The girls will play Franklinton at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 18,
and the boys will play Pine at 6:45 p.m. 
Please come out and show your Sumner Spirit and cheer
on our Cowboys and Cowgirls.

Our next home basketball game will be next Friday, November 27, 2009,
during our Thanksgiving Holiday.  Eat you some turkey on Thursday, November 26, 2009;
then, come out and support your Cowboys on Friday."
We will play Varnado at 6:00 p.m.

Friday, November 20, 2009, the PTSA will sponsor a dress down for all PTSA members. 
You must be a member, and membership is $5.

Contains over $80,000 in prize money available.
This contest is open to 9-12 graders.

For students interested in a science/health-related career:  medicine, dentistry,
pharmacy, biology, chemistry, or similar areas.
Deadline to apply is May 7.
