Teachers work with a Labdisc to test the pH levels of various "Pirate's Ale." Apple Juice, Rootbeer, Dr. Pepper and other softdrinks were poured into cups. Teachers used a tracking sheet to record the data.

Teachers worked in teams to construct a vessel that would carry pirate loot across the open seas. This makerspace activity required teachers to use various materials to construct a raft that would be propelled by a sphero ball.  A sphero ball  helps to teach the fundamentals of programming and rebotics. It is controlled by use of bluetooth and a device.
